'Sweet' Thoughts - Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

This morning I made breakfast!  I decided to make Cinnamon Roll Pancakes with my Mom.  It was a lot of work, but so much fun.

The first thing I did was make the sugar mixture.  To do this you heat the following ingredients in a pan:

  1/2 cup brown sugar
  1 tsp. cinnamon
  4 Tbsp. melted butter

The sugar mixture on the stove.

Once the sugar mixture has melted, leave it on the stove on a low setting until you need it.  Stir often.  While that's being watched, make your pancake mix.  I used Aunt Jemimah's Pancake Mix.

Pour your pancake mix on the griddle and swirl some of the sugar mix on them before they are flipped.

Flip your pancakes and cook until golden brown.  When you take them off, they will look and smell delicious!

Once your pancakes are done, combine the following ingredients for a nice cinnamon roll glaze.

  1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  1/2 tsp. butter, melted
  1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. and 1 Tbsp. milk

Once you've made the glaze, put it in the microwave to heat it up for about 30 seconds.  Put your pancakes in a neat stack on a plate and pour the sweet & gooey glaze over the top of them.

 YUM!

Watch your family drool as you serve them these pancakes!
